The Wine
The talented, motorcycle loving Alessandro Gallici knows exactly where to find the best grapes of the Veneto in northern Italy. For the latest vintage of this rosato, Alessandro decided to use Bardolino's classic varieties (the same ones in fact as Valpolicella) to lend the wine bright cherry fruit and freshness. That is noble Corvina, plus Rondinella and Molinara, with a splash of the rare Negrara to lend colour. You can be assured of pure intensity of flavour in the wine, too, thanks to the mountain cool climate of the area, which is locally referred to as 'air conditioned'. The result is a sophisticated rosé of the type much loved by locals. A mouthwatering apéritif, it's also perfect when paired with baked salmon or vegetable risotto.
