New Zealand Sauvignon is now so famous, it's hard to believe that less than 40 years ago, when Phil and Chris Rose first saw Marlborough's potential for crafting Sauvignon Blanc, they had to ask permission from the authorities! Back in 1978, the only agriculture deemed viable in what is now known as Marlborough's Golden Mile - also home to Cloudy Bay - was growing alfalfa. Of course, hindsight is a wonderful thing, as is this latest release of Tikohi, the third from a trio of great Kiwi vintages. Enjoy solo or partner with salmon, spicy noodles or shellfish.
