Tikohi Pinot Gris 2013
Bordeaux AOC
Loading...
You'd have to venture to Alsace to find a Pinot Gris with as much flavour and richness. It has very little in common with its breezier Pinot Grigio cousins from elsewhere. Apples, pears, quince and honey on the nose with nectarine and citrus fruit.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
Another reminder that there is so much more to New Zealand than just Sauvignon Blanc. Twist the screw cap on this exotic Pinot Gris and reward your palate with a refreshing shower of ripe tropical fruits and freshness. It is nearly 40 years ago that Phil and Chris Rose first saw Marlborough's wine growing potential. They actually had to ask permission from the authorities to plant vines because back in 1978 the only agriculture deemed viable in what is now known as Marlborough's Golden Mile - also home to Cloudy Bay - was alfalfa farming. Of course, hindsight is a wonderful thing, as is Tikohi's delicious Pinot Gris 2015. Enjoy this wine cool on its own or pair it with salmon in a spicy glaze, a Thai noodle stir-fry or tarragon chicken.
